Our FLuc mRNA, which encodes the firefly luciferase protein, has been specially designed for maximal in vitro expression and luminescence.

We have engineered our FLuc mRNA to include a Cap1 structure (biologically superior to Cap0), a highly expressing 5’ UTR and highly stable 3’ UTR, a 100-nt poly(A) tail, and a codon-optimized luciferase open reading frame. Choose from unmodified or modified (N1-methylpseudouridine or 5-methoxyuridine) bases. Both types of modified bases have been shown to enhance protein expression in vitro and in vivo.

Our robust purification process removes dsRNA contaminants and other reaction components, generating highly pure mRNA that is capable of inducing very high levels of protein expression in diverse cell types, while causing minimal cellular innate immune activation (virtually undetectable).

As with all our mRNAs, this FLuc mRNA comes ready-to-use in a 1 mM sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.5), which is ideal for preserving RNA stability and extending shelf-life. Just complex with your favorite transfection reagent and you’re ready to go.

If you would like to request a different amount of mRNA than what is listed on our website, or a different type of modified base, or any more information about our FLuc mRNA, send us an email at hello@messenger.bio and we’ll be happy to help.
